ACC Principles of Unity
We are opposed to capitalism. We fundamentally reject a social and economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and
exchange. We reject a system driven by an exploitative logic that sees human beings as human capital, ecosystems as natural resources, and culture as simply a
commodity. We reject the idea that the world is only valuable in terms of profit, competition and efficiency.

Anti-Capitalist Convergence Issues New Call to Action
Statement from the Black Overalls
This Is What Direct Action Looks Like
NEFAC Statement
The World Bank and International Monetary Fund control more investment
capital and have more policy influence in the world economy than any other
institutions. They restructure economies for neocolonialism, steering
production to elite markets, while locals suffer for basic needs. They
lower wages, proliferate sweatshops and repress organized labor. Their
development projects are environmentally destructive. They privatize
education, health care and water; burdens felt most heavily by women
world-wide.

October Protests
The Peoples Strike
A Day of Non-Compliance and Resistance
October 1st, 2002
In the city where George Bush rules from the lap of luxury...where over 12,000
people sleep on the streets just outside the White House doors while 29,000
units of housing remain abandoned yet are still private property...where 40% of
children live in poverty while a dinner with the elite can cost over a thousand
dollars a head...where immigrants have few rights and resources ... where the
powerful launch wars, bombings and sanctions ...where more people per capita
have HIV than any other US city... where the World Bank and IMF dictate policies
to developing countries forcing millions to live and die in poverty…in the city
where citizens do not have voting rights and live under taxation without
representation…in the city hailed as the capital of the free world we call for a

Anti-Capitalist Call to action against the war and U.S. Imperialism
As the U.S. government wages war on an entire population abroad, we call for an escalation of resistance against U.S. imperialism here at
home. The power of the Taliban in Afghanistan is the direct result of years of U.S. arms supply, funding, training, war mongering, covert
operations and interventionism. We, the members of the Anti Capitalist Convergence in Washington, D.C., have long opposed the actions
of the U.S. government.

Anti-Capitalist Convergence Against the World Economic Forum
New York City, January 31-February 4, 2002
For years now, the CEOs of major corporations, hundreds of top international government officials and just plain rich people - from Bill Gates to Bill Clinton - have been meeting every year in Davos, Switzerland. This is where the real rulers of the world give the politicians their marching orders. This is where the schemes that lead to atrocities like GATT and the WTO are actually hatched. And this year, the dining club for the world ruling class will be held at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Midtown Manhattan.

Surveillance Camera Players
Some members of the Anti-Capitalist Convergence are currently organizing a local chapter of the Surveillance Camera Players. The Washington police recently announced a draconian surveillance plan for public spaces. It's time for a little creative resistance to those plans.

Inside the Marriott Public Charter High School
|
A school that trains highschoolers how to open doors for customers, on the job etiquette. Ever thought that school was just a boot camp to teach you how to work for rich people? At least other high schools try to hide their motives and at times you can find teachers who really care and want you to learn. But at the Marriott Hospitality Public Charter High School administrators try very hard to produce happy waitresses and doormen.
