Communiques from the Anti-Capitalist Convergence

Revolucion Aqui (The Washington Post Co. Building 7-23-2001)
by Salisberry
For the second time in a month, activists hung this hand made banner on a protest target for the World Bank and IMF demonstrations (Sept 23 - Oct 4, 2001). This time the target was the offices of the Washington Post Company for their poor reporting on the G8 protests in Italy and that news organization's clearly pro-corporate and neo-liberal agenda. Earlier this month activists hung the Revolucion Aqui banner off the Marriott Wardman Hotel because thousands of World Bank/IMF delegates will be staying there, along with other wealthy elites. So far no arrests have been made and in both instances activists where in and out of the buildings before security personnel knew what hit them.
