     Just giving you all a heads up.  This Sunday at Fort Benning's main gate 
is going to be the largest annual demonstration against any military base in 
the United States.  The national press will all be there to film an expected 
10,000 people protesting and 5,000 to march onto post illegally.   
  This is the 10th Anniversary Protest of an organization called the "School of
Americas Watch" (which has always been non violent) where a group is trying to 
get the school shut down and is always lobbying Congress for such.  They also 
protest at our main gate every year to get national attention and then wrap it 
on Sunday afternoon with some marching onto post.  
   The whole post here has been planning for the demonstration with the PMO 
leading the effort.  Just letting you all know about it as this is our 15 minutes 
of fame here (although we would rather not have it).

to the meat of it.  And don't forget to watch the news Sunday Night.  But don't 
expect to see to many MPs.  The DoD Police Officers will be on the front lines.  
Doesn't look so bad as soldiers arresting civilians on TV.

 OK fellow MP Newsgroupers.    This is CPT Darrell Sides reporting for duty as
 ordered by the Desk Sergeant.
  
     Thanks for all the email and congratulations on me making command.  
 Life it rather different for me now, but I'm loving every bit of it. 
 Also, my son has since turned 3 and has learned to talk 20 hours a day 
 at 45 MPH and my 5 month old daughter is becoming mobile on the floor,
 so life is full of surprises leaving little time for sleep.  I lucked
 out and got an outstanding company to command (988th here at Benning),
 but I will brag about them later.  I'm having a Co web page built this
 month, which will give me the chance to brag some more once I get the
 web address to y'all.  
   OK guys, I'll try not to drop off the face of the earth like I did
 before, and actually check in here and there and throw my 2 cents
 around. I'm getting good at that now that I'm getting this "commander"
 stuff down.
