been thinking

Why did I ever start this band? And after a long hard thought, I remembered it was, of course, for the music and hoping that people get something out of my venting. So when did this selling cds obsession come into play? I'll tell you where, the record companies. It's not like artists get money for the records they sell until they go at least gold (500,000), but the more records you sell the more your record company will put in to you in the lines of promotion (radio, tv, print) and in the end that is what sells your cds, a constant presence, not good music. Thus all the shitty bands and pop/rap groups that sell so many cds.

The only time it really monetarily helps a band when you buy their cd is when they independently put it out.

So getting to the POINT - I want everyone out there that owns a copy, even if it's burned copy of either "Throwing the Game" or "Commitment" (our two cds for those who have already deleted this post) to burn it for everyone that is willing to listen. I mean that is the point of this all, to have kids hear the music we slave over and come jam out to it live.

If anyone writes me back with a cool story of turning a bunch of people on, I'll hook up them up with a tshirt or something at a show on our upcoming tour.

Thanks a lot, guys. If anyone has thoughts about this subject, I'd love to hear them.
