About
Poo-Ha-Bah
Healing CenterPoo-Ha-Bah Healing Center is a unique and extraordinary place, created through the vision of Newe (Western Shoshone) Spiritual Leader Corbin Harney (left) and the generosity, hard labor and faith of many people. In these times of global toxins, radiation and illness, Corbin feels strongly that he should use his life-long spiritual training to heal all life, and to educate as many as possible. Poo-Ha-Bah is open to all people seriously seeking healing support, or wishing to volunteer simple services in an very special place for a time. See Visiting or download Brochure.
Poo-Ha-Bah is a Newe word meaning "Doctor Water". Healing services offered at Poo-Ha-Bah are centered around the use of the hot mineral springs on site, as well as prayer ceremonies, and occasionally, the use of herbs and local clays. Corbin is guided by the spirits of various animals while working on a patient. The hot mineral waters in Tecopa contain the best possible qualities to promote healing of many kinds of physical conditions. Poo-Ha-Bah also provides healing service for spiritually-based causes of illness, which are not addressed by Western medicine.
Poo-Ha-Bah is located in Tecopa, CA, in the Amargosa Desert, near the southern entrance to Death Valley. It is 50 miles north of Baker, CA, 90 miles west of Las Vegas, NV, and 45 miles southwest of Pahrump, NV, the nearest large town. See Map.
In
recent years, healing water has become a precious resource, as the oceans,
rivers and springs become contaminated by chemicals and toxic wastes.
Radiation, as a result of nuclear fallout and electrical generation is having a devastating effect
on our water, air and all life on this Mother Earth. By
using the healing water and following traditional, Native healing ways,
hopefully we can return to a balanced life in harmony with ourselves, all our
relations and Mother Earth.
