Starting strong with their first full-length LP, Big Butter released Step In And Do A Certain Something in 1988. It was sold in record stores locally in the Fresno area, and I know some copies made it to Tower Records in San Francisco. I am unsure of the distribution beyond that point.
Some of Big Butter's best music is on this LP, and it went through at least two releases. This LP is well worth the hunt for anyone interested in Big Butter.
Big Butter chose impressive 4-color silk screening on heavy-duty paper for their album cover, setting the standard of quality for their following releases. As with most Big Butter releases, Step In And Do A Certain Something is a limited release with each copy individually numbered.
No mass-produced, cheaply-made album covers here. This LP also came with some interesting inserts and advertisements.
