[240] From Robison Families of Ohio:

We knew nothing of him until we located the family in Meigs County, Ohio. Born about 1804 in Perry County, PA he lived on until after 1880. Perhaps named for Daniel Hamell, his maternal grandfather, he would have been the third of the children. It is he who is living at the home of his brother, John Robison, in Green Township in the 1830 census.

His father, Joseph, provided in his Will that Silas was given a charge regarding Daniel. The wording was: "and also to maintain and support my son Daniel Robison during his natural life." It appears that Silas did that for he appears in Silas's household while his mother was living, Daniel's birthplace was given as Maryland. In the 1880 census he is listed as being seventy-seven years old, born in Pennsylvania. We have no record of Daniel's death or burial. It is clear that he was retarded or otherwise disabled.
