[I believe the following was written by Charles DeVier, David Warren Robison, August, 2002.]

Robison and Myrtle, his wife, for two hundred ($200.00) dollars sells about Eighty acres (80) to Jennie E. Robison located in Twp. of Palmyra, county of Portage, state of Ohio and is the South part of Lot 21 of the third division of said Township.
It is signed by:
Guy W. Robison
Myrtle Robison
Howard J. Robison
Edward F. Robison
Blanche E. Robison and others
Article in Alaska Newspaper:
Guy first came to Peace River in 1914. He seeded the first oats in Hudson Hope, he shared in the fur trading post at Finlay Forks, he carried the mail on the ice in winter and by pack horse in summer, and he homesteaded in the Gates, where the Lynx Creek stampede ground now statnds and lived there for 20 years. He was born in Palmyra, Ohio in 1874. In 1890, when N. Dakota had just been admitted as the 39th state, he headed for this near frontier and got to work at Tower City, clearing land for settlers. Before long he was able to buy his own half section. He married his wife, Mrytle, in 1806 and they settled down on the farm.
Guy had too much pioneer blood in his veins to stay for long. He gave up the farm and tried his luck wtih hotels. Later in 1910, he left his wife and family in Tower City and headed north. He traveled the old wagon trail from Edmonton to the Peace River, after a brief spell of railroad building out from Edmonton. He reached Hudson Hope via Moberly Lake in 1914 and stayed to help Charlie Paquette build a cabin. Then he took to land clearing again and cleared five acres for Doc Fredette and 14 acres for Jim Beattie, which were seeded to oats. Then he tried his hand at washing for gold on the river flats.
With cash in his pocket from gold washing, he headed out for Edmonton again. He next turned to logging, ending up i the Prince George area. With another man, he built a boat at Giscome Portage and headed for the Peace again. At Finlay Forks he saw the opportunities in fur trading. He went out and got himself a stake and started in fur trading.
In 1919 he came back to The Hope and started on the mail run. The following year he decided to go homesteading and settle down, so that at last he had a home to which he could bring his wife and family. He lived on the homestaed for 20 years, and then built the neat little house in Hudson Hope where he lived until his death. Through the years that he lived at the Hope he was a participant in the life of the place and shared in any project that was going. One thing in which he shared was the building of the little log church of St. Peter's where his funeral service was held on Monday, Dec 21. The Rev. Alan Ferguson Officiated. He has 9 grandchildren and 14 G. Grandchildren.
