In the name of God, Amen. July 21, 1732. I, Rebecca Baxter, of the Borrough Town of Westchester, widow, being sick in body. I devise the use of my dwelling house and lot adjoining, to my daughter Glover, so long as she shall dwell therein with her family and no longer. I also give her four shoats and five small pigs. After the death of my said daughter Keziah, I give the said house and lot to my son, Thomas Baxter. I give to my grand daughter, Charity Stevenson L5. All the rest of my property I leave to my son-in-law, Underhil Barnes, and make him executor.
Witnesses; William Barnet, Nathaniel Underhill, William Forster. Proved, December 22, 1736.

Apparently Catherine had three children by different men, but gave the children the fathers' last name in each instance. She is said to have finally married the man who founded the city of Norwich, Ontario, Canada. Family tradition had it that Clyamon was the son of Clyamon who had died on his way back from attending his mothers' funeral in Holland. The following lawsuit tells the real story:
Lawsuit filed 16 January 1788 by Catherine DeLong against Peter Vanderburgh, Dutchess County, New York. Ancient Document #12439.
