According to Pam Cassiday, the family moved to Dick Johnson Township, 2.5 miles west of Brazil, Clay County, Indiana, in 1854.
From Robison Families of Ohio:
John Robison, the fourth child of Joseph and Elizabeth was born January 13, 1805 in Tuscarora County, PA. While living with his family in Greenford, OH John married Mary Baker (1807-1880). The marriage occurred on October 28, 1827 at Salem, Ohio.
John and Mary were in Greenford for the 1830 census; moved to Milton with the others; and remained there until 1839. John and Mary were also in Greenford for the 1840 census. The 1850 census found the family in Perry Township, Columbiana County, Ohio on a small farm.
In 1853 they were in Stark County, when John purchased the Indiana farm formerly owned by his sister, Harriett Ann Robison Lewis. The seller was Edward Robison, brother of John, serving as guardian of Louisa Emeline Lewis, the sole surviving heir of her mother, Harriett Ann.
So it was that in 1853 John, Mary, and their ten children moved to Cass County, Indiana. The ten children were:
Joseph B. Robison
Sarah Ann Robison
Pierson Robison (called Reason in 1850)
Matilda Robison
Amos Robison
Thomas Robison
William Robison
John Robison
Mary E. Robison
Ester Ann Robison
Four of these children were born in Milton; the others in Greenford.
There is more material on the descendants of John than for the other nine children. This is because Jean Robison of Coffeyville, Kansas and others have worked hard on the family history. Due to the lack of information on the other nine children, we will not go into any more detail on the children and their offspring.
After Mary died in Cass County, Indiana on August 3, 1880, John appears to have gone to Meigs County, Ohio. Here he married Louisa Robison, the widow and second wife of his brother, Joseph Robison, Jr. This is verified by a writing of Edith (mentioned before.) This writing says: "After grandmother's death, grandfather married Liza (Louisa.) He died while on a visit to Kansas and is buried there, and she went to Nebraska where she had a farm."
The marriage record in Meigs County, Ohio reads: "John Robinson married Louisa Robison (Mrs.) on December 1, 1881. License applied for by Silas Robinson."
Louisa Savage had married Joseph Robison in 1874.
John died June 30, 1886 in Chatauqua County, Kansas and is buried at Havana, Kansas.
