Carol Griswold Salli has the name as possibly being Eckerson. Sources used are from the "Ackerson-Eckerson Family" which is apparently a book.
Very little is known about Thomas Hugeson. The only evidence found of him is in the New York Reformed Dutch Church at the remarriage of his widow, Sara Brout, to Henry Peers on 20 Nov 1644; "Henry Peers, j.m. Uyt Oudt Engelandt, en Sara Brout, Wed Van Thomas Hugesson." Source is New York Reformed Dutch Church 1:13.
"Herry Peers van Pleymuyden" (Plymouth) was a member of the New York Reformed Dutch Church on 12 Oct 1644 (NYGB 9:78), and Sara was a member on 2 Sept 1675. "Sara Breyts, h.v. (wife of) Hendrick Peerszen." (NYGB 9:147)
Three weeks aftger their marriage, the four children of Sara Brout & Thomas Hugesson were presented for baptism by "Henry Piesse & Sara Brut." (New York Reformed Dutch Church 2:18)
The four children are called VIERLINGEN (Quadruplets) in the church record. Witnesses for the 4 baptisms were Theunis Cray, Tryn Van Camp, Thomas Brons, Janneken Thomas, Thomas Hall, Anna Hal, and Eduwart Moer.
