Obituary courtesy of Florence L. Frasier:
Woodruff. - At Pacific Sanitarium at Salem, Oct. 7, 1903, Clarence Woodruff, aged 14 years.
Deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Woodruff of Cleveland. Mr. Woodruff had taken the boy to Salem only the day before his death for an operation. For three weeks prior to that time local treatment had been administered in Roseburg without material result. The boy's ailment was an affection of the marrow of the bones of the lower limbs, which gradually caused other complications.
The remains arrived on the overland train this morning from Salem and were taken to Cleveland where the funeral was held this afternoon. The bereaved family have the sincere sympathy of all.
