1. 1870 Census for Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska, shows Joseph, aged 58, living with his son Sylvanus. Joseph is listed as having been born in Pennsylvania and his profession is given as stone mason.

Am still driving on Meigs County helpers to get us copies of the marriage records on Joe Jr., John + Louisa.
In 1870 Joe Jr. + Son ed were in Nebraska [see 1870 Licoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska Census] - in 1872 Joe is back in Meigs County and marries Louisa Savage. In 1880 Census Louis Robison is widow living wtih part of Savage family. Savage is not her maiden name. In 1881 Louisa Robinson marries John Robison, Joe's older brother - they move to a new location in Indiana - Same town as where Sarah Robison Bradfield had lived. John went to Kansas to see his children and died there. Loiusa went to Nebraska.
No death record in Meigs County for Joe Jr.

Joseph Robison is listed on the personal property tax list for Green Township, Columbiana County, Ohio for 1826. This indicates he was there in 1825. The listing was for 1 horse and 2 cattle. Joseph is not listed as a land owner. 1826 has the first year that a personal property list was filed in the Court house.
John Noland is first listed in 1826 in Milton Township, Trumbull County, Ohio. He is listed for 57 acres of land in the South Survey and for 2 horses and 4 cattle.
1827
Joseph Robison is listed again in Green for 2 horses and 2 cattle. John Robbins (probably John Robison) is listed for 1 cow. John Robison married Mary Baker on October 18, 1827 as shown in Marriage Book 2, Page 285, Columbiana County Records.
1828
Joseph Robison is listed this year for Green for 2 horses and 2 cattle. John Robbins is again listed for 1 cow.

The personal property lists for Green now reflect William in addition to Joseph and John. These listings were:

William Robison was the grantee on a deed from John and Sarah Walker for Lot 68, Green Village, Columbiana County. This deed was dated February 4, 1830 and recorded in Volume Q at Page 294 of the transcribed records in Youngstown, Ohio. This is the same lot deeded to John Walker by Jacob and Elizabeth Cook on March 25, 1829.

The personal property lists for Green show Joseph Robison with 3 horses and 3 cattle, and show John Robbinson with 2 horses and 2 cattle.
Under date of April 11, 1831 William and Rebecca Robison sold Lot 68 in Green Village to William W. Durbin. This deed is recorded in Volume X at Page 42 of the transcribed records in Youngstown.
There are no entries for green after 1831 until 1840.
1832
Although the tax lists for this year are missing for Milton Township, Trumbull County, it is clear that the Robisons were there for Jacob Cook (Jr) married Mary Ann Robison there on November 26, 1832. The application for the license was made by William Robison.
1833
William Robison of Milton took 2 deeds for land in Lot 18, North Survey of Milton Township, Trumbull County, Ohio. The first of these was from Ezkiel Hover of Milton for 81.30 acres. This deed was dated April 30, 1833 and recorded in Volume 36 at Page 521. Elijah Miers and Alexander Sutherland were the witnesses with Sutherland the JP. The price was $320.00. The second of thesedeeds was from Jacob and Ruth Snyder of Salem, Ohio (near Green). The witnesses and JP were from Salem. The deed was dated September 16, 1833 and recorded in Volume 29 at Page 481. Price $240.00. The tax lists for 1833 show the 181 acres as belonging to William Robison. The personal property lists for Milton show Joseph Robison with 2 horses, and William Robison with 1 horse and 1 cow.
1834
Although there are no deeds to divide the 181 acres the land tax records show a division (apparently based upon occupation) as follows:

William Robison takes a deed from David and Sarah Caldwell of Newton Township for 52.86 acres in Lot No. 11 of Newton. This deed was dated April 19, 1838 and is recorded in Volume 40 at Page 453.
The tax lists for 1838 for Newton show William Robison as a landowner and on the personal property lists for 2 horses and 2 cows. John Robison is carried for 1 horse and 2 cows.
The tax lists for Milton show John Robison with 42 acres of land but no personal property. William Robison is charged with 16 acres of land but no personal property. Joseph Robison, Jr. is on the personal property lists for 2 cows. Alexander Robbison appears with 3 cows and Jacob W.Cole appears for the last time here with 2 horses and 1 cow.
William Robison and his wife, Rebecca (she signs by mark) deeded the 42.21 acres in Lot 18 of Milton to Joseph Robison, Jr. This was the land occupied by John and Mary Robison. This deed was dated March 6, 1838 and recorded on May 1, 1838 in Volume 40 at Page 468. The deed mentions as a southerly boundary "a parcel surveyed off to Joseph Robison on December 3, 1832. (there is no record of such a survey). The witnesses on this deed were Thomas Robison and James Moore and Moore was the JP. (Moore was a neighbor on the east; his wife's mother's maiden name was Margaret Robison).
Joseph Robison, Jr. and his wife Nancy sold the 42.21 acres on April 11, 1838 to Robert Price. The witnesses on this deed were Thomas Robison and William Porter, with Porter the JP. This deed was filed on May 1, 1838 and recorded in Volume 40 at Page 469. The two deeds for the 42.21 acres were filed at the same time. Joseph Robison Jr. married Nancy Cook, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Cook on November 18, 1834, he was of legal age. The marriage return was from Newton Township which is on the north border of Milton.
1835
The tax lists are roughly the same as for 1834.

The tax lists are missing for 1836.
1837
The real estate tax lists is the same as that published in 1834. The present tax lists show:

William Robison and his wife, Rebecca (she signed by mark) sold the 61 acres occupied by Jacob Cook to Daniel Eckis. The deed was dated June 16, 1837 for a consideration of $793.00. John Orr and Jacob Cook were the witnesses and James Moore the JP. This deed is recorded in Volume 40 at Page 199 of the Trumbull County Records.
1838
John Robison (son of Joseph B., Sr.) takes deed for 50.1 acres in Lot 24, Newton Township, Trumbull County, Ohio. This deed was signed by John Thatcher and his wife, Elizabeth under date of July 3, 1838 and is recorded in Volume 43 at Page 457. Thomas Robison died June 26, 1838 aged 24 years and 7 months. He is buried in what is now called the Vaughn Cemetery on John Noland's lot. John Noland, his 2 wives, some of his children and some of his grandchildren are buried here.
Joseph Robison and his wife, Elizabeth (she signed by mark) were the grantors on a deed for the 20.00 acres they occupied. This deed called it 21.30 acres, starts at a corner of Daniel Eckis's lands; is dated February 1, 1838 for a consideration of $300.00. The grantee on the deed was Jacob Harroff who then lived in Austintown which is 10 miles east of Milton. Jacob Harroff had lived near Harrisburg, Pa. before he came to Ohio. The witnesses on this deed were William Robison and Robert Trumbull, with Trumbull as the JP. Joseph Robison had no title to this parcel yet the deed was accepted. This deed was not recorded until July 19, 1845 when Edward Robison filed it. It is recorded in Volume 55 at Page 202.
On August 9, 1838 Edward Robison and Arminda Cole went to Ravenna, the County Seat of Portage County, Ohio; secured a marriage license; and were married that same day by a Justice of the Peace in Edenburgh. This indicates that her parents, Jacob W. and Hannah Elston Cole had moved to Palmyra from Milton. They had been in Milton since 1813.

Warranty deed from John and Mary Robison to Robert Price, Part Lot 24, SE corner, Newton Township, Trumbull County, dated April 4, 1839, William Porter and Martin Donat were the witnesses, and Porter the JP, recorded in Volume 43 at Page 457.
Warranty deed from William and Rebecca Robison to Henry Hudson for 52.86 acre tract in Newton Township, price $500.00, dated March of 1839, and recorded in Volume 42 at Page 519.
John Noland takes deed from Tillinghart Mowry and wife Elizabeth of Rootstown, Ohio for Lot in Milton Town Plat, dated June 8, 1839 - NOT FILED UNTIL - 1845 and then by Edward Robison.
1840
The tax lists show no Robison in either Milton or Newton. The federal census for Milton, Newton, Green, Palmyra show John and Mary back in Green Township, Columbiana County. The others are missing. In Milton in the 1840 census were:

Only Edward Robison appears on the Milton personal property tax list 1 horse and 2 cows.
1843
The personal property tax lists for Milton showed:

1844
Only Edward Robison appeared on the personal property tax lists for this year. He had 1 horse and 2 cows.
About this year John and Mary Robison purchased land in Perry Township, Columbiana County, Ohio and moved there from Green Township. This farm was on what is now State Route 45, north of Salem.
On July 19, 1845 Edward Robison appeared with two deeds executed in 1844 and with two deeds executed in 1838 and had all four recorded. One of these was from Jacob and Hannah Harroff and conveyed the 21 acres or so where Edward's father had lived; the other was from John Noland and Elizabeth Noland for Lot No. 20 in the Milton Town Plat. These deeds were recorded in Volume 55 at pages starting with 202.
1845
In late 1845 Mahoning County was formed from the 10 southerly townships from Trumbull County and the five northerly townships from Columbiana County. Thus Green and Milton became part of the new county.
Edward Robison is the grantee for the 42.21 acres formerly occupied by John and Mary Robison. This deed is recorded in Volume 1, Page 350 of Mahoning Deed Records.
1846
Both Edward Robison and John Noland moved from Milton to Palmyra, Portage County which is 5 miles west of Milton. They lived on land owned by John Noland around what was later called the Robison Church Cemetery.
1850
The federal census for 1850 showed John and Mary Robison in Perry Township, Columbiana County and Edward on a farm in Palmyra.
1851
Harriett Ann Robison Lewis, sister of John and Edward, dies in Indiana in September of 1851. All of her family excepting 2 little girls, Jane and Emeline, died. By November of 1851 Edward had been to Indiana, returned to Palmyra with the girls and had himself appointed as Guardian of his nieces.
1854-1855
In 1854 Edward secured the consent of the Courts in both Ohio and Indiana to see Emeline's interest in farm land in Indiana (Jane had died). Edward sold the land to his brother, John. During the period 1854-1855 John and Mary and all of their children left Ohio and moved to Indiana.
By 1855 Edward and his wife and children seem to be all of Joseph, Sr.'s family left in Ohio.

1998 Update: The family seems to have moved to Meigs County, Ohio. Further research is being done into this discovery.
2) May, 2002, Joseph B. Robison is buried in the "unknown" cemetery near Oak Creek in Saunders County, Nebraska. His marker is broken but says "died 27 Mar 1890 69 yr 5 days" according to the record of Clarabelle Mares. The date 27 Mar 1880 is the actual date of his death and is recorded in the profile for Nancy Cook, Joseph's wife by Jane Fletcher Fiske as per email from Bute McNatt.
UNKNOWN CEMETERY - This little cemetery is on top of a hill just north of Valparaiso, Nebraska located in the NW 1/4 NW 1/4 of Section 23 Township 13 N, Range 5 E, Oak Creek Township, Saunders County, Nebraska. I would think that it is an abandoned cemetery, with native grasses in it. Recorded on 18 May 1978 by Clarabelle Mares 1722 East 19 Fremont, Nebraska and Kathrine Petersen. Working from the east to the west end of the cemetery in rows.
