[1915] According to Fiske's book on Thomas Cooke of Rhode Island, Lydia was living in 1897 in Leighton, Michigan. She was sister of Elsie and Mary E. Brown, the first and second wives of Amos' brother Alfred, and she gave evidence in support of his third wife's application for a Civil War Widow's Pension.
