many improvements to speed things up, upgraded freebsd from 5.x to 6.x, upgraded mysql from 4.1.x to 5.0.x, installed patches to phpbb to reduce spam.
things seem to be working much better. more changes soon.

Pom, you rock as usual. 
I can definitely feel the improvements. The site sure was dying there for a bit and I didn't think it was totally bandwidth related.
