So, phpBB3 out of the box is pretty impressive in many respects, including it's prevention measures for spam. However, it was recently tumbled by the highly enthusiastic band of Internets™ spammers whose determination to rubbish boards is only exceeded by their lack of self-control.

So, straightaway, it seemed necessary to introduce an anomaly in the board code to trip up the brutes. The upshot is that people who post here anonymously will be required to include a special symbol in the confirmation code field. Further details are provided at the appropriate juncture (in English only).
