Cosmopolis

Postby Yarrow » Thu Oct 08, 2009 5:09 am

This fallen fruit
will follow suit
and bring forth fruit

We're out of space
time to replace
the city gates

Pettiness gone;
we're moving on
open along

Cosmopolis awaits
you to find your fate

The castle grounds
shake and resound
as the tower bounds

The serpents' rise
out of your eyes
shalom surprise

the egg before the bird before
the nest, the trees, the wood before
the soil, the rock, the stars, the universe
before the earth before
the egg before the bird before
the nest, the trees, the wood before
the soil, the rock, the stars, the universe
before the earth before

(a song about space exodus)

I can't decide if this song makes me feel sad or not. It's like an exodus from a planet that we can no longer continue to live on but at the same time a movement toward a new future, a new experiment with the possibility of a better tomorrow. It's a double edged sword in my mind.
