Commercial pornography isn't any more exploitative or degrading than any other commercial enterprise. They all employ economic coercion to run people's lives. The idea that pornography or even prostitution is more degrading or exploitative than other lines of work is based in a widespread negative view of our sexuality, that it is a dirty thing people should be ashamed of. Once you think of sex as like any other human activity commercial pornography is only as exploitative as being a Wall Mart worker, in fact since porn stars tend to make more money and hence are given more freedom to consume resources by the capitalist system the Wlal Mart worker is being exploited more. Besides that not all pornography is commercial. There is amateur pornography and even some porno versions of youtube where people can post videos for free. There is no reason something produced simply for the fun of it would be exploitative of the people who participated, or to feel degraded, otherwise why would they be doing it?
