Prison Racism

While I have been to Juviline hall, and spent short amounts of time in Jail, especialy during mass arrests at protests, I am yet to spend any time in prison.

Ive heard alot of horror stories about Racist hate gangs, and that everyone is pretty much forced to be a racist or they get killed, or raped, or get their ass kicked every day.

I believe this racism is perpetuated by the state to divide prisoners to make them easier to control.

I would like to open discussion on this topic, and also talk about what can be done, in the form of propaganda or personal direct action that could help to over time reverse this trend.

Don't these problems come about because of a prisons' tendency to become a "university of crime," not so much because the state creates them with in the jails?
How can you help to solve these problems? Give to the poor so that they will not have to be put in prison during an effort to stay alive. Get vocal about how horrid the conditions are in prisons. Stay true to your anarchist self so that you may take part in the revolution that will liberate those inside the prisons.

The prisons do promote rasicm. They divide the prisoners into groups by there race. Well geuss whats gona happen when you have a bunch of groups fighting over the same territory. If the prisoners were not separated then it seems to me that most of the violence would be dealt away with to a certain degreee

Wait, the prisons themselves are grouped into different sections by race or the people divide themselves by race?

No inside the prisons prisoners are separated into groups by race, as they say to avoid conflict. But it seems to me that it does just the opposite and creates more violence.
