I wouldn't really consider "sexy pottery" to be porn. And I doubt people were getting off to their pottery.

I see why you asked now. Sorry about the confusion.

I also see that I was wrong about them not being capable of producing porn -- as Zazaban pointed out with his/her example of pottery, the society I envision as ideal would technically be able to produce porn by painting or sculpture or a variety of other means (note that I still don't see the sexual imagery on ancient pottery as "porn" though -- I'm just saying that using the same medium, you could produce something that was porn). And thus they very well might produce porn -- and I, of course, see no problem with that if it's what they desire.

However, I still think that everything else I said stands, as far as the people not desiring violent, demeaning porn in a healthy society. I don't think they would produce that.

I would never be "in favor of porn," although I am not anti-porn. I might be anti-porn-industry, but I haven't decided yet.

What's interesting to me is that prostitution is illegal, while getting paid to have sex on camera (men in control) is not. I don't think prostitution should be illegal. Our society is very anti-prostitute and pro-porn. Sex workers face a lot of societal hatred.

I fucking love porn, I'm not ashamed of it, it's a great and wonderful thing, there's nothing wrong with it. And I'm not going to go and make a distinction and say well, only if it's not demeaning and violent, because I like demeaning violent porn too. I recommend reading about what actual porn workers think about it They love that shit.

If most of the issues anarchists who aren't socially conservative have against porn stem from the fact that it's exploitative, wouldn't the real culprit once again be capitalism? A lot of things are made bad by capitalism: food production, clothes production, music, etc.
