Capitalism is the worst system, exept for every other one

What is so wrong with capitalsim?
Does it not give us a higher quality product for a cheaper price?
Does it not breed inovation through competition, and emply people in fields they want to work in?

Why or why not?

Thanks for any feedback!

Innovation is not exclusive to capitalism. Though it does have that advantage.

The problem is when you talk about cheaper prices is that people who work hard are also paid less and do usually don't reap the benefits of their labor. Other issues is that in order to improve the bottom line corners are cut, leaving even less desirable problems. A good example of this was the Deep water Horizon, which used a cheaper version of the blowout preventer which killed at least 11 people, and leaving a horrific mess in the environment that has ruined thousands of peoples livelihood.

Capitalism is a major factor in a plethora of problems which not only involves the environment, but enormous amount of poverty, political and military interventions. People also become mores self centered at the expense of people around them. Look also at one of the single biggest problems that the US government has, (aside from the fact that by definition we reject government) is that huge donors dominate every 'elected' person in office, regardless of their party affiliation, or lack of.

I could go on and write more, as my patience for writing postings in forums is pretty thin. So hopefully others will step into this. but we also constantly get the same questions from people who often seem to bring similar questions as yours but are attempting to proselytize. I am giving the benefit of the doubt. So I will leave you with this, as political ideologies, for a lack of a better term, are something that we tend to be so ingrained that you can't just leave a couple of post and expect a conversion.

People are remarkably motivated to help each other for the same reasons that animals are. It is in fact in genetics goes for most mammals and birds and other creatures. This has been described by Kropotkin. but also by later biologist, who while they aren't necessarily anarchist, have demonstrated this issue. Think about times when you may have wanted to help somebody who fell down nearby you, or thought about helping a sick relative or friend. You may have volunteered for a variety of tasks at a non profit, or a political campaign, in hopes to make a better world.ng bills that we don't have the energy to do something. But it doesn't take as much en

Can you provide an example of a capitalist society? imho, there's never actually been one.

Capitalism presupposes private property, does it not? I do not know of a place where private property exists. In the western countries people who (erroneously) believe that they own land are actually the "title holders" of the land which enables them to collect rent for the use of the land. The ownership is still in the hands of the sovereign, to whom the title holder pays a property tax.

Look at the role of the entrepreneur today. A proper startup plan requires and "ext strategy" where profit is taken. If the venture fails, the investors lose their money. If the venture succeeds, it is sold to a larger entity. It is at this point that the entrepreneurs innovations get absorbed right back into the corporate monopoly system.

You say that capitalism fosters innovation. Does not war do this also? Why is it that the country which is considered most capitalist - the USA - is also the most bloodthirsty in war? I've always been told that capitalism fosters peace, but the facts on the ground are quite contrary to that position. The USA has invaded and attacked more countries than any other aggressor on Earth. If this is a requirement of capitalism, it would seem to be a recipe for mass misery for elite gain - not really desirable wouldn't you say?
