Social media has become more than just a means of communication and entertainment; it has become part of our lives. Everywhere you go, you will virtually always see someone holding a smartphone in their hands. Checking up on our Facebook status is like seeing if there is still a pulse in our veins.
With this in mind, companies will have to think twice about recruiting candidates who are simply obsessed with the digital world. Although some companies have resorted to measures that counter this compulsive behavior, other companies have come to embrace it, so long as candidates deliver on time. 4. They are always connected
Even though we make ourselves present at our workplaces, technology has become so omnipresent that now we are able to work at home as well. It helps us stay connected with the company’s clients and customers no matter what time of the day it may be.
However, there is such a thing as working overtime and finishing what we should have done at the office. Still, technology has taken us so far that now completing our assignments is barely a challenge. 5. They prefer flexibility over more money
It sounds like risky sacrifice, but believe it or not, the Gen Y community would rather prefer having to work at their own set of hours than putting more green in their vaults. It seems that flexibility makes millennials feel more respected and productive in this aspect.
Therefore, companies have had to opt with this concept in order to get more out of their employees. As a matter of fact, recent survey results have shown that employees tend to be more motivated and hardworking because of this.
