it's true, i have the ultimate control here. even the mods are basically powerless compared to the admin account. i think folks who have been here long enough realize that i am pretty tolerant. can anyone remember a non-spam post i've nuked? even though it's "mine" i've tried to tailor flag to the expressed desires of our user community.

if you folks really want to kill the dorks, i'll make all the boards except the general discussion and/or anarchism 101 "subscribers only". so guests can only post to selected boards. people have asked for that before, but i didn't really like the idea. still, it'll keep the kiddies isolated. they're only brave when anonymous.

if the trolls are really that bad, i also have the ultimate power of the firewall. it works rather nicely.

as for elected mods, i'm all for that. but the reality is that i'm root on the unix box and i'm not sharing that so in a sense i'm always going to be the final "authority."

gosh, that rush of power, i feel so...so...damn i think i'm gonna go buy a "support our troops" magnet.

i would really really really really like there to be a forum specifically labelled for antagonists to anarchism who wish to debate. then people should be encouraged to ignore trolls in the other forums, and debate them vigorously in the antagonist forum. seems to work well over that cappy site...

A serious suggestion:

Aren't there too many forums in flagblackend? It only disperses the debates and activity over a too wide area. Making browsing through the forum a "displeasure". I think a lot of forums here could be emerged. Examples:

Anarchism 101 - Anarchists and Anarchism - Anarcho-Syndicalism 101 - could be emerged into one big Anarchism learning thread.


Anarchist Youth seems rather useless. Most anarchists here are youths anyway, I'd guessed.

Maybe a practice forum? To post on anarchist organizing, methodes and activities. (as much as is desirable to share publicly.)

I agree with this. Also, I think exploring the electable/recallable/mandated should be done with some urgency and seriousness.
