Whatever you do, don't derail this thread over the spambot. please!!!
How long do you think we can have a free and democratic society if we insist on maintaining totalitarian systems in our companies? We must have freedom for individuals and organizations to grow and to realize their potentials.

When I first watched The Mechanical Universe I had no interest in half of the stuff it discusses. You'd be surprised how utterly simple the vast majority of technologies really are at their heart. It led me to believe that we really aren't going to be fucked with regards to destroying specialization. I had my doubts but if you watch it you can see just how simple stuff is. Consider down converters for electrical lines (high voltage to low voltage). It's simply a matter of how many times you wrap a coil around an iron rod. Really. That simple.
I am a leader, but you will not follow me.

Skimming around to see what the mainstream media were reporting I noticed this article: How an ion engine works

I find all sorts of obscure things fascinating, that's how I found anarchism. Name something, I'll be able to find information about it.

I meant obscure concepts, not just obscure trivia about common things.

And yes.
