Marxists and anarchists should definitely work together along with greens, queers, and working class parties. I'd rather live in a shitty socialist country than a shitty capitalist country.

Agreed on all counts. If you accept, as I do, Marx's insight that we are shaped by the prevailing mode of production, then it stands to reason that if we want to instigate change, capitalism ought to be our primary target. This doesn't mean we become Leninists; it doesn't mean that we believe the state will "wither away" -- it just means that we ally with anti-capitalist statists above capitalist statists. This seems self-evident, but, astonishingly, it isn't. Far too many anarchists feel more kinship with, e.g., the US Libertarian Party, than with, e.g., Socialist Party USA. Reading the principles & platforms of each, I find it quite disturbing that any anarchist would place the former above the latter simply because the former is drenched in "smaller government" rhetoric while the latter has ideological ties to an ancient and bitter feuding partner. (Incidentally, are we the Hatfields, or the McCoys?)

And that's not to mention the revolutionary party-communists who don't even seek state office and seem like fairly obvious allies. And then there's the Greens, who aren't explicitly anti-capitalist but are certainly anti-corporate (they've swallowed the "support small business" mantra, but at least it's a step in the right direction).

To the extent that we can ally with such groups against capitalism without actively violating our principles, we should. It's rather absurd to pretend that we can take on global capitalism by remaining atomized into tiny cells of insignificance (which is how they want us). Look at any capitalist state and you'll find the ruling class in firm agreement, with only two broad factions (based mainly around cultural issues). Even in states with proportional representation, capital comes together after elections into two camps. And yet here we are, in our pathetic little sects, wailing into the wind which scatters us like leaves, while the ruling class falls asleep each night with a smug grin.

Wow, finally got my internet back to see some people understanding what I was talking about.
I honestly want a return of something like the First International. I disagree with the Marxists, but I respect them and see them as allies in the struggle for freedom. They want what we want, but by different means. We can work together for freedom and while working with them I'm confident our anti-statist ideals may even influence them.
The PLP sure as hell ain't perfect, but they are such a major improvement over the reformist parties and the Stalinist parties that I think they are a group that can worked with. At least they recognize the utter failures of the PRC and USSR, and are actively trying to improve their own ideology. It is a good thing that Communists are so critical of each others ideologies in that it allows us to improve and progress. It is also a major issue because it divides us and makes us weak against the ruling class. The Anarchists and Marxists are both largely working class so they are the allies of one another at least while we have such an large enemy.

Another point is that if and when the Revolution occurs, Marxists will undoubtedly be far more organized than anarchists and seriously we wouldn't want them as our enemies, AGAIN.

Yeah that's.....

So you'd rather let them take over? Get fucking organized if not.

Why would you expect marxists to be more organized? I don't think we have a choice as to who the marxists label as "enemies". I wouldn't settle for sloppy seconds

all advocates of the state label anarchists as enemies, so what's the difference?

actually, there is a difference. i'd rather live under state-capitalism (aka state-'socialism') than the current variety or even the imaginary 'free'-market variety. at least there's a possibility of influencing state-capitalism. if it's nominally 'democratic' (aka run by plutocrats who deem it wise to pretend to listen to the public and to grant occasional concessions), then i can go that route; or even if it's a totalitarian dictatorship, essentially a giant capitalist work-farm, then at least i've got one target to focus on, unlike the present system with its multitude of corporate bosses.

I'd think if anyone did try and implement a dictatorship it'd be relatively easier to spread anarchist thought around (As long as, you know, they don't send you to the GULAG's).
