Ultimately we are all in the same boat and we are going to have to live and get along with people that invent stuff to take responsibility for their actions. I think religion will slowly die away once the world becomes wide open to everyone and people have no option but to face their fears and embrace the change of self empowerment that would ultimately come in an anarchy or decentralized system.

Right now though, anyone that distrusts the state is an ally because that is the first step toward mankind reconstituting the definition of "civilization"
