We all have dreams of something better.
We all want a better world.
We have dreamed for ages.
We have hoped for changed.
What do I dream of?
I dream of freedom.
What do I hope for?
I hope for peace.
I dream of a world without violence,
Where police no longer arrest,
And soldiers no longer shoot.
Where no murder occurs.
I dream of a world without labor,
Where no one must take orders for 8 hours
To feed their families and pay the bills.
And production is made enjoyable.
I dream of a world without machines
That take the point out of productive activity
And destroy the earth and sky
And our very humanity as well.
I dream of freedom for all,
Not pointless rules that create crime
That government claims to solve,
But hasn't done anything about.
I dream of equal opportunity
With no divisions of class, sex, or race.
No more poverty or wealth,
Instead replaced by well-being for all.
I dream of the end of money
And distribution by need, not profit,
With freedom in factories
And the birth of a gift economy.
I dream of the end of the alienation
That leaves us empty and hollow
That drives us to consume mindlessly
And even take our own lives.
I hope we can create a new society
With these goals in mind.
A better way to live exists
We can make it real.
That is my dream and my hope.
That is my vision of change.
How far were you willing to dream?
I hope I have inspired you to dream further.
