mark your calendar for next year! i had a friend pass the info my way, but i didn't hear much about the day of silence leading up to it.

<br>last year's was pretty intense though. i was walking to a class and a lot of my "radical" LGBTA friends sitting by a sidewalk with duct tape over their mouths, lots of rainbow clothing and some signs about current gay issues. something about just giving them hugs and saying nothing just made the symbollism of the day really apparent. after class i went home and did some research on violence against gays, lesbians and transsexuals... had to spend the rest of the night eating cookies and watching funny movies with my roommate because i was getting depressed.
