Before you apply for a grant ...

There are a few things to keep in mind.

First, the deadlines for grant applications are June 15 and January 15 of each year. A grant application received after either of these dates will not be reviewed until the next grant cycle. For example, a grant application that arrives in our postal box on June 16 will not be reviewed until the winter grant cycle.

Second, you must answer all the questions on the application and follow all the procedures. We will not review incomplete grant applications.

Finally, it is the generosity of individuals from all walks of life that makes it possible for the IAS to award grants. If you are interested in applying for a grant but decide to wait for one reason or another, please consider helping us provide support to radical scholarship by making a donation to the IAS. Depending on the size of your donation, this will probably entitle you to one or more great books.
