the circle in the square’s place!] Do you believe in the laws of physics? I don’t. Not anymore. Does this mean I can fly now? No. Well, maybe. Witches can fly, but I’m no witch. Laws, supposedly universal, are mechanisms of control. Legal and religious laws exist to control the actions, thoughts, and behaviors of human beings. Anarchists everywhere oppose these laws because they deny individual autonomy. But who opposes the laws of physics, or nature for that matter? Laws are mechanisms of control. Simply put, they are created to control and manipulate a certain phenomena. Laws of physics are supposed to control (through theory, explanation, experiment) physical and metaphysical events. Laws of nature are meant to control nature, in all its forms. Laws are inherently authoritarian because there aim is to control the uncontrollable, the wild, and the free. Laws are part of a greater canon of laws called the laws of science (legal sciences, physical and natural sciences, social sciences) – and science is nothing more than a way of understanding. Thus the laws of science are meant to shape and control human beings’ ways of understandings. How does science, through laws, “control” the uncontrollable? To control physics or nature, science breaks them down into minute parts that each carry their own special explanations and controls. Nature is broken down into systems, which are broken down into different parts, until eventually you have the cellular, atomic, and subatomic levels of understanding which make up the body of science that is the laws of nature. This is not only done with the understanding of nature, but of everything else. Take a similar example: a person burns herself. Did she burn herself because she placed her finger in a fire, or did she burn herself because the cells and nerve endings in her digit came in contact with fast-moving molecules caused by the ignition of organic materials, thus sending a signal up her arm to her brain where certain nerves were fired off, and then resent to her finger to stimulate an electrical phenomena that is termed “pain” or “burning” in the English language. Likewise, are babies made by two people making love or the exchanging of fluids…etc? Thus science destroys the inherent beauty, felt by different people on different levels (such as mundane, spiritual, metaphysical), of nature and replaces it with a mechanized explanation filled with gears, cogs, and sprockets. This explanation is diffused into our worldviews because science is a totalitarian ideology that is believed by all, even its disbelievers, and can never fail. So what is there if there are no laws of physics? Is there still nature? Is there just god? Is there evolution. God is nothing more than an older version of science called religion, and its effects are just as profound. What came before god is lost in most cultures (although some still retain their natural and supernatural beliefs), and surely what replaces science – if we don’t intervene soon – will make god forgotten as well. Evolution is simply change. Change is change, which is something that happens naturally. Naturally, not by law, but by the very existence of nature itself. Nature exists, to be sure, and there is no way to separate us from it – no matter how hard they try. Evolution happens (remember, the laws of acquired characteristics, natural selection, and punctuated equilibrium are just there as a way to control evolution. One has already been done away with…now its time for the other two). Things fall. Energy is transferred. Nature just is. They don’t need laws to be, to exist, just as human beings don’t need laws to exist. We are just as nature is. We are part of the chaotic, anarchic (these are opposites), autonomous, free, and wild existence of everything. Once we apply laws to this existence, we are trying to control this existence, whether for the “good of humanity” or not. So break free from these laws – they are there only for control. They are there to control this wild existence, and thus they are there to control you in every way.
