The EZLN Revolutionary laws

These are the laws proclaimed by the EZLN on the first day of the 1994 rising and some later documents that reflect in part what the EZLN is fighting for

• Urban Reform Law
• Labour Law & Industry and Commerce Law
• Social Security Law
• Justice Law
• Revolutionary Agrarian Law
• Law of Rights and Obligations of Peoples in Struggle
• Instructions to Leaders and Officials of the EZLN
• War Tax Law
• Law of Rights and Obligations of the Revolutionary Armed Forces

The document above were published by the EZLN in a paper distributed on the day of the rising. Since then other communiques can probably be considered to add to or modify these policies. These include

• Demands submitted during the Feb. '94 dialogue
• The rejection of the 'Dialogue for Peace and Reconciliation in Chiapas'
• Points for Negotiation of the Agreement of Reconciliation and Pacification

Possibly the San Andres accords between the EZLN and Mexican government should also now be seen as part of what the EZLN are fighting for.
