Non-payment of bin tax in Drogheda is scaring the Council. According
to Louth County Manager, John Quinliven, less than 50% of residents
have paid any of the yearly 260 Euro charge. He is claiming that the
Council now faces bankruptcy and is threatening to end the rubbish
collections "forthwith". As non-payment increases so does the
likelihood that the council will be unable to privitise this vital
service.
We have them on the ropes, keep the pressure on. And if they stop
collecting our rubbish we can bring it down to the Town Hall and let
Quinliven look after it!
